What did positively surprise you? The wonderful fresh food, people are very suprised to see white people, people very friendly and welcoming
What did negatively surprise you? Lots of rubbish in Honiara. Sometimes unwanted attention.
What took longest to get used to? Only thing is having to boil water before drinking it
What did you miss most in Solomon Islands? running water from the tap and lack of variety of food in the food stores
What should you have brought along? Trainers for sports, more long skirts (to fit in with / respect the culture)
