What was your occupation? Student Midwife
What were your working days and hours? Flexible, normally 8 hour shifts. Stayed on call for birth.
What was particularly difficult in regard to your work? The lack of resources and different practices from back home.
Did you feel accepted by the locals? yes
What did you usually do in your spare time after work? Cool down and play cards. Go to the local market for fruit and vegetables.

What did you learn from the locals? Their resourcefulness and ability to be kind to each other in stressful conditions.
Your advice to prospective visitors? Very hot working conditions.
